"The pacific north coast is an endless source of inspiration for me. This quaint hotel sign is what first drew me to paint this scene. I replaced a boxy looking car with my bicycle that I hauled into the studio
to paint. The hotel owners were nice enough to show me around their lovely bed and breakfast,
which was a delightful old west experience! If you are in the area,
be sure to visit this historic building and the Old Wheeler Hotel,
in the heart of downtown Wheeler on the Nehalem Bay."
